Palm needs Pre to be a success to improve revenues

Palm has been in trouble since months now with their revenues. The company is yet to launch their new Pre smartphone.

And the company has now said that its third fiscal quarter will be dismal. Palm is expecting to record between $85 million and $90 million in revenue for the quarter that ended last week.

Market analysts had better expectations.

The company is still working hard on ensuring that they can launch the Pre within the first half of this year.

They managed to impress the critics with the concept model and it is expected to get good initial response.

But a lot would depend upon how they can build up on the initial sales to enhance their revenues to get back into the top smartphone maker list in the US market.

The competition is tough with new players like Google entering the market.
