Tata Nano could be launched in Europe by 2011
Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata has stated that they are considering plans to launch their Nano model to the European market by the year 2011.
Tata Nano for the European market is likely to be significantly different from the model that would be sold here in India.
This is because of the different safety and emissions standards applicable in the European countries.
Tata is scheduled to launch the Nano small car in India later this month.
The car is likely to become the cheapest product of its kind in the world at launch time.
Ratan Tata spoke about the European edition of nano: “It will not be the same car but it will still be very, very affordable.”
