YouTube had 100 million viewers in January this year

Google owned YouTube video sharing service had a record 100 million plus viewers in January this year.

In all web users watched 14.8 billion online videos during that month.

ComScore added in its report that the online video viewership was up 4 percent from December.

Google gained the most in this growth.

Web users watched as many as 6.4 billion videos on Google hosted services.

YouTube now has a market share of 43 percent.

The report said that an average user watched about 62 videos over the course of the month for an average of 3.5 minutes.

Hulu.com continues to impress with 250 million videos viewed and 24.4 million unique viewers.
