Mahindra & Mahindra launches new Scorpio
Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the launch of the new generation Scorpio in the Indian market.
The company has also slashed the price of Scorpio by Rs 34,000-70,000.
This new edition of Scorpio now meets Bharat Stage 4 norms.
Mahindra has managed to meet the new norms nearly 13 months before they are enforced in the country.
Mahindra representative Pawan Goenka said that they have managed to reduce the price of the vehicle from the technological advancement.
Company added: “The launch of new Scorpio is a well thought-out move. The company conceived the idea before the introduction of Xylo, but could not make it public for obvious reason. Now, the cannibalization between the two products will come down. However, there will be some cannibalization, which we are okay with.”
The new Scorpio comes powered with a 2.2-liter mHawk engine. The earlier editions were powered with 2.6-liter CRDe engine.
