Seagate Technology showcases Serial ATA 6-Gbps storage interface
World’s leading storage solutions provider Seagate has showcased what they claim is the first public demonstration of the Serial ATA 6-Gbps storage interface.
This new technology is twice as fast as the current fastest standard.
Seagate worked with microprocessor company Advanced Micro Devices to develop this new solution.
The two companies showcased a hard-drive prototype using the high-speed computer bus at the Everything Channel Xchange Conference in New Orleans.
This new specification is also known as the SATA Revision 3.0.
