Disney launches an online destination for fans
Walt Disney has announced the launch of a new web destination for the fans of their movies and characters.
The company said that this new web site is the premier online destination for Disney fans.
This new section on the Disney website would feature breaking Disney news, exclusive feature stories, blogs, historical retrospectives, a collectibles boutique, special event information, and other content.
This new section is named D23. 23 here refers to the year 1923 when the company was launched.
Disney president and chief executive Bob Iger had this to say on this new initiative: “D23 is our way of saying ‘thank you’ and celebrating our fans, who bring the magic of Disney to life every day in every corner of the world.”
