Gmail traffic in US now matches that of YouTube
If you need any proof on the growing popularity of Gmail, here it is.
Hitwise has reported that the US based internet hits on Gmail are now matching YouTube.
Gmail recently overtook YouTube to become the 10th most visited website in the US market.
Gmail and YouTube are now swapping positions at this spot.
Hitwise said in a blog post:
The market share of visits to Gmail has increased 70% for the week ending March 7, 2009 as compared to the same week last year. Visits to YouTube also increased 16% during the same time frame.
