Transcend launches 192GB high-speed Solid State Drive in India

Transcend has announced the launch of their 192GB high-speed Solid State Drive in the Indian market.

The company said that the drive is more capable of handling mechanical failure resulting from vibration, shock, or heat considering it has no moving parts.

This drive is on sale in the Indian market for a price of Rs. 37,000, excluding taxes.

Solid State Drives are not very popular in the Indian market due to the high price. But there is a market for them from customers who wants a reliable data storage solution.

Transcend claims that this new drive offer sustained read/write speeds of up to 150MB/90MB per second.

It features the industry-standard SATA II interface 2.5-inch form factor which makes it compatible with almost every computer in the market today.

They are offering a two year long warranty on this drive.
