Discovery Communications targets Amazon Kindle

Discovery Communications has filed a lawsuit against Amazon related to the ebook reader Amazon Kindle.

Discovery claims that Amazon is infringing on their patented technologies with their Kindle ebook reader.

The lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court in Delaware.

Discovery claims that Kindle infringes on a patent that Discovery founder John Hendricks received in November 2007.

Discovery’s patents are related to encryption technology used to distribute digital books.

Amazon has for now declined to comment on this fresh lawsuit filed against the company.

It seems that Amazon no longer has things its own way – first the lawsuit, then Sony joining forces with Google- life it ain’t gonna be easy, which is a pity as the Kindle is a great invention
