Sony Reader gets access to Google powered ebooks
Sony is collaborating with Google to bring more content to their ebook store.
Sony Reader owners would now get access to copyright free books hosted on the Google Book Search service.
Most of these books have been published before 1923 so they can be offered to the user without the permissions from the authors of the books.
Sony stated that the new additions include classics like “The Awakening,” “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court,” and “Sense and Sensibility”.
With this, Sony has on offer as many as 600,000 titles.
This has boosted their efforts against the Amazon Kindle device which recently saw the launch of the second generation model.
