AT&T might soon offer contract free iPhones at a premium
Market reports claim that AT&T is all set to launch contract free iPhones in the US market.
Online reports say that the company would charge USD 599 for the 8GB iPhone 3G and USD 699 for the 16GB iPhone 3G.
These units are also unlikely to be unlocked and the customers would be required to use a compatible AT&T connection with it.
A leaked online presentation added: “Customers purchasing the iPhone 3G at the no-commit price are not required to sign a two-year service agreement. Device activation is not required at point-of-sale.”
AT&T had mentioned their plans to sell iPhones without contract last year but they are yet to be launched in the market yet.
