Psystar launches yet another Mac Clone Open(3) model
Psystar continues to defy Apple and have launched a new model.
This new model is named Open(3) and the company claims that it is capable of running Mac OS X along with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Ubuntu, Fedora and Cent OS.
This new model features Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, 2 GB of DDR2 800 RAM, a 500-GB 7,200-RPM SATA hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 8400GS 256-MB video card, integrated audio, dual-layer SATA DVD +/ RW drive , and four USB ports.
Customers would however require to use his own monitor, mouse and keyboard.
Psystar said that they have tested the Mac OS X installation with a variety of software including Aperture 2, Final Cut, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
They are however warning that they cannot guarantee that any software written for the Mac platform would run on it.
