SpiralFrog goes down
SpiralFrog was one of the many digital media services that was launched with the aim of providing free music to web users.
Looks like the experiment has failed as the company has now closed down its operations.
The service was designed to supply free music to listeners as long as they were ok with receiving advertisements along with the broadcast.
They are not alone which failed in their aim. Ruckus also recently closed down their operations after failing to survive in this tough market.
The music provided by SpiralFrog came DRM enabled which restricted its usage for the end user.
Looks like customers would have to wait for another innovation if they want to stay legit and still not pay for the music.
