Apple has sold 17 million iPhones worldwide
Apple’s vice president of iPod and iPhone product marketing has revealed that the company has sold more than 17 million units of iPhones worldwide.
Apple managed to sell 13.7 million iPhones last year alone.
This means that the company managed to meet their sales target of 10 million units in an year comfortably.
Apple iPhone remains the unofficial benchmark used by other companies to launch new generation touchscreen mobile phones.
Every new touchscreen smartphone launched in the market is compared to Apple iPhone.
This is pretty impressive considering the current generation iPhone is only the second model from the company after they entered the market 2 years ago.
