China Unicom might soon launch iPhone in China
China Unicom website has a section devoted to the Apple iPhone!
This is despite the fact that the company has not revealed any such deal with Apple.
Apple has been talking with mobile companies in the China market to sign up a deal for the iPhone.
The iPhone section on China Unicom website is the strongest sign that the announcement might come sooner than later.
Market sources hints at the possibility of a launch in May this year.
The timing of the deal is somewhat surprising. Apple is likely to update the iPhone with a new version sometime in July. And they could have waited to get their hands on the new generation iPhone.
However, nothing has been said officially by the two companies.
