Canon EOS Rebel T1i launched
Canon has announced the launch of their latest entry-level digital SLR camera.
This new product is a hybrid model as it can also do high definition video recording.
Canon EOS Rebel T1i has several options for recording videos:
30 frames per second at 720p
20 frames per second at 1080p
30 frames per second at standard definition quality
Canon Vice President Yuichi Ishizuka spoke about this brand new model: “We are witnessing the emergence of a new phase in digital imaging history, as high-resolution still images and HD video can now both be produced in a handheld device for under $1,000.”
Canon said that the camera can store the videos on 1GB to 2GB SD or 4GB SDHC memory cards.
As a result, it is capable of storing 12 minutes of 1080p HD video, 18 minutes of 720p HD video, or 24 minutes of SD video in one go on a 4GB card.
This camera model comes loaded with a 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor along with a DIGIC 4 imaging processor. It also features an HDMI output.
It would be available in the retail market from May this year. It has been priced at $799.99 for the body. Canon has a kit for sale for $899.99 with their EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens.
