Nokia invests in mobile payment company Obopay
World’s leading mobile phone maker Nokia has invested in the mobile payment company Obopay.
The two companies did not reveal the details of this investment.
Obopay develop solutions to enable mobile users send and receive money.
Nokia’s head of corporate business development, Teppo Paavola would become a member of the Obopay’s board.
Obopay said that they would use these fresh funds to expand their presence and services.
Other investors in the company include Citibank, Qualcomm, Essar and Alliance Bernstein.
