Maruti still has no plans to compete with Tata Nano

Maruti Suzuki is the dominating automaker in the Indian market.

The company rules the domestic market with their extensive range of small cars.

For the first time ever, Maruti faces a formidable challenge in the form of the recently launched Tata Nano.

Tata Nano is priced almost a lakh rupee less than the cheapest offering from Maruti (Maruti 800).

Maruti Suzuki has clearly stated that they have no plans to reduce the prices of their cars to take on the Nano.

The company admitted that the Nano might have a marginal impact on the sales of their M800 model but they still believe they have no reasons to worry about.
