Apple Stores in US selling contract free iPhone 3G
Apple Stores in the US market have now started selling contract free Apple iPhone 3G units.
These are priced much more than the units sold along with a contract.
The phones are however still locked to AT&T which means that the customers would have to either stick with the same service provider or take the risk of third party unlocking.
These units can be activated by the customers from their homes using Apple iTunes.
Market sources say that Apple and AT&T are offering contract free iPhones to clear up their stock to prepare for the launch of the new iPhone that could come out in June this year.
