Wall Street Journal: Disney and YouTube close to signing a deal
Wall Street Journal has reported that Google-owned YouTube and Walt Disney are pretty close to signing a deal.
This deal would see YouTube distributing videos from the Disney archives.
This would be good news for Google as they would be able to host video archives from Disney as well as their subsidiaries like ESPN.
The deal is unlikely to see Google offering full length episodes of Disney television programming.
Disney is likely to prefer Hulu over YouTube for their television programming.
