American Airlines to expand in-flight internet service
American Airlines has announced that they are now working on expanding support for in-flight Wi-Fi Internet service to 300 more aircrafts.
AA said that they are aiming to generate more revenues through this value added service that allows the traveler to stay connected to the internet while traveling.
They would install the required hardware on their domestic MD-80 and Boeing Co 737-800 aircraft fleets.
They are already offering in-flight internet services to passengers on 15 Boeing 767-200 aircraft on certain routes.
They call this service Gogo and it is powered with AirCell technologies.
