Verizon to become a member of Joint Innovation Lab

Verizon Wireless has announced that they would join Joint Innovation Lab.

Joint Innovation Lab has been created by China Mobile, Softbank and Vodafone.

The aim of this organization is to help standardize mobile application development.

The purpose is to get the applications out to the user in a more efficient manner.

Verizon Communications Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg said that there are too many mobile platforms out there and the market needs consolidation.

They are aiming to reduce the platforms powering the mobile devices sold by them in the market.
