Apple might be close to launching new updated Xserve servers
Market sources say that Apple might be close to launching new updated Xserve servers with the recently launched Intel Xeon range of server processors.
Incidentally, Apple Online store in Hong Kong was found to be taking pre-orders for such servers.
The link was not yet activated so the page might have been accidentally activated on the store website.
The webpage did state: “Preorder the new Xserve with Intel Xeon (Nehalem)”.
Apple as usual would not comment on any future product launch.
Industry experts believe that the launch might just be few weeks away.
