AT&T enhancing their wireless network for the next iPhone
AppleInsider has reported that AT&T is working on a major network upgrade in the US market to welcome the next generation iPhone which is expected to be launched sometime in June this year.
Apple has not revealed anything about a possible iPhone update. But they are working on iPhone 3.0 software update for the existing iPhones and iPod Touch.
Sources say that AT&T which is the sole provider of iPhone in the US market is upgrading its 3G network anticipating a major increase in network traffic flow from the new iPhone.
Current generation iPhones are capable of connecting to 3.6 mbps networks. AT&T already has a network capable of providing 7.2 mbps speeds on mobile devices.
