Google believes Voice Search is pretty important to business

US based search engine giant Google has said that they believe voice search is crucial to their business operations.

The company believes that voice search would become a priority when it comes to the mobile web.

Google vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra had this to say: “We believe voice search is a new form of search and that it is core to our business.”

Google is already providing such an ability on several mobile platforms enabling users to search using their voice.

Gundotra added: “We launched it on the iPhone and have seen a 15% jump in accuracy because, as more people use it, we collect more data and our accuracy gets better.”

Google is also working on a new edition of Gmail for mobile devices using HTML 5 which takes advantage of the new technologies.
