Google enhances local search
Search engine giant Google has blogged about the improvements made in their search engine when it comes to localized searches.
The company said that in most cases they try to provide local search results by guessing the location from the user’s IP address.
They are also allowing the user to specify his location on some of their search services to provide better search results.
Google said:
We like to make search as easy as we can, so we’ve just finished the worldwide rollout of local search results on a map, which will now appear even when you don’t type in a location. When you search on Google, we will guess where you are and show results near you.
