Virgin Mobile USA lowers prepaid plan prices
Virgin Mobile USA has become the latest mobile player in the US market to drop the prices on their plans.
The company has lowered the price of its unlimited calling plan to $50 from $80 per month.
Virgin serves around 5.4 million subscribers in the US market.
The price cut was mostly because of a fierce competition going on in this segment of the market.
Both MetroPCS Communications and Leap Wireless International are offering unlimited prepaid service for $35 to $50 per month in limited areas.
Sprint Nextel also recently launched a $50 unlimited plan under its own prepaid brand, Boost Mobile.

I would stay away from Virgin Mobile at all costs. Their customer care is horrible and they have no wireless locations where you can go to for support. They operate through big box retailers where they sell phones the same way they sell apples, in crates.
If you depend on your cell phone go with companies that have dedicated local presence with actual local support. For postpaid T-Mobile is a great option and for prepaid Boost is excellent and best of all with Boost, you get unlimited calling, messaging, internet and GPS for $50 versus with VM you only get calling only.
