Bluetooth 3.0 details coming out later this month
Bluetooth Special Interest Group is all set to reveal details on Bluetooth 3.0 standard later this month.
They would also be revealing the companies which are going to support this updated specification.
The group said that the new updated standard would support faster wireless file transfer using 802.11 technology.
Bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed standard would use 802.11 to transfer large files without connecting to the Wi-Fi network itself.
If the wireless network is not present, it would revert back to the standard Bluetooth technology.
The aim is to make transfer of large photos and videos possible using Bluetooth on mobile devices.
