Rumors say Twitter is in talks with both Google and Microsoft

AllThingsD has reported that both Google and Microsoft are in talks with Twitter for a possible advertising deal.

Twitter is currently free of any form of advertising.

The service is very much in news for its explosive growth and potential uses in real world scenarios.

AllThingsD’s Kara Swisher had this to say: “Many think Twitter’s real-time search of its 140-character ‘tweets’ posted by users on the service will become the next great battlefield in search. Google currently dominates the general search market, with third-place Microsoft struggling to get more share.”

Any search engine service can benefit immensely by using the data generated by users on the Twitter service in real time.
