Apple iPod Shuffle: Product costs are just 28% of the market price
Market research firm iSuppli has revealed that the cost of components of the latest iPod Shuffle comes to around $21.77.
This is essentially just around 30% of the market price of the iPod Shuffle media player.
The cost however does not include the research and development work done by Apple and of course the software powering the device.
Still, Apple continues to generate high profits from their products as their margins are high.
The report from iSuppli also said that Samsung continues to provide most of the components of the iPod to Apple.
