Tesla Model S has already received 711 orders

Tesla Motors recently showcased their upcoming electric sedan model Model S.

The company has now revealed that they have already booked 711 units at $5,000 each.

Tesla is only scheduled to bring the model to the market in 2011.

These bookings would help the company as it would bring them the much needed finances.

The booking amount is however refundable if any of the customers change their mind in the coming months.

Tesla plans to sell Model S at about $57,500 each. Customers are going to get a $7,500 tax credit which would lower the cost of the car for them.
