European Union to target Britain over privacy issues

European Union is all set to started legal action against Britain over privacy issues.

Britain is being targeted for not applying EU data privacy rules to protect their citizens.

The EU also warned that they might force social networking services like Facebook to hide information connected to their minor users on search services.

The European Commission said that Britain should disallow usage of Internet traffic interception and monitoring unless the web users have given their permission for it.

Britain has been found guilty through a research conducted by BT Group using an Internet advertising tracker, called Phorm.
