Dell and Hewlett-Packard to launch TD-SCDMA compatible netbooks
US based personal computer manufacturers Dell and HP have announced that they would be launching netbooks in the Chinese market which would support TD-SCDMA network.
TD-SCDMA is the China’s own 3G network and it is offered by mobile operators like China Mobile.
Dell Inspiron Mini 10 and HP Mini 1000 to be sold in China would be offered with built-in data cards for the TD-SCDMA 3G standard.
China based PC maker Lenovo too is launching a series of laptops which comes loaded with support for this 3G technology.
These would be offered by China Mobile which plans to subsidize the netbooks for customers.
