Verizon waiting for Apple iPhone 4G

Verizon chief executive Ivan Seidenberg has hinted that they would consider getting back in talks with Apple for a possible iPhone deal when the popular mobile device gets on the 4G bandwagon.

Apple iPhone is currently only offered in GSM version. Verizon has a CDMA network which is not that popular internationally.

Apple has been offering their iPhones in the US market exclusively through AT&T ever since the launch of the iconic device.

Verizon is working on Long Term Evolution for their 4G network. This technology is expected to be used by more providers in the country including AT&T.

Whenever Apple develops a LTE compatible edition of the iPhone, it would become more logical for both companies to discuss a possible collaboration.
