Conficker being used for spamming
Conficker has been making news since quite some time now. The latest is that the worm is being used by the developers to send email spam.
Cisco Systems researchers have claimed that as many as 12 million infected machines are being used to send about 10,000 to 20,000 spam e-mails a day per computer.
Analysts believe that this number is much smaller than what the machines are capable of.
Experts say that the low number is probably to avoid being detected at the ISP level.
Conficker was earlier used to deliver fake security software alerts to the victims.
