Microsoft Kumo might go public this June
Market sources claim that Microsoft could finally launch their Kumo edition of Live Search in June this year.
Microsoft has been testing the Kumo edition internally since quite some time. But it is not yet available to web users in general.
The launch date is said to be June 2 and was first reported by a popular technology forum.
June 2 also happens to be the opening date of Search Marketing Expo. Incidentally, Microsoft’s head of online services Qi Lu is scheduled to give the keynote address at this event.
It is not yet known whether Kumo would be launched as a separate search engine or it would replace Live Search.
You can never tell that with Microsoft.
