Apple wants to design their own chips?
Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple is continuing hiring experts from the semiconductor industry as they are working on creating enough talent to develop their own chips.
Apple already is deeply involved in the design of the hardware and of course the software part of their products.
Getting into the chip segment is baffling market analysts.
The report said that the company wants to keep their concepts and designs secret from third party manufacturers and this is encouraging them to develop their own chips.
Apple has declined to comment on these reports in the media as usual. The company did confirm that they have hired the services of Bob Drebin and Raja Koduri who were previously with AMD.
