Apple iPhone users are unhappy with battery life

J.D. Power and Associates has released their latest report related to user’s preference for mobile devices.

Apple iPhone managed to perform well in almost all the categories.

It however failed in the battery life satisfaction category.

Apple ships with iPhone with a non-removable battery. This requires the user to keep the charge along whenever he is traveling. There is no provision of carrying a second battery along.

For replacement, Apple requires the user to get the battery changed by a trained Apple professional. That is something expensive and time consuming.

Otherwise, Apple iPhone did well and was the highest-ranking smartphone manufacturer with a score of 791 on a 1,000-point scale.

Kirk Parsons, senior director of wireless services at J.D. Power spoke about their research: “Many owners of traditional handsets do not believe that the service cost associated with owning a smartphone is justified, as they indicate they would not take full advantage of the advanced features. Given the current economic climate, consumers are very aware of the extra cost associated with owning a smartphone that they may not use for more than basic calling and texting.”
