Google reshooting Street View pictures in Japan
US based search engine giant Google has revealed that they are going to reshoot photos in Japan for their Street View service.
They decided to reshoot all the photos after complaints raised by Japanese authorities about invasion of privacy.
Google said that the photos would now be taken at a lower height so that they do not take images over fences in private properties.
The company said that they have no plans to discontinue the service in the Japanese market which is pretty crucial for them.
Google spoke about the privacy concerns: “It is certainly a fact that there have been concerns. We thought of what we can do as a company and tried to be responsible.”
