Ivan Krstic joins Apple from OLPC Project
The OLPC Project is not known for the security technologies used on their XO Laptops. But they have helped Apple find an impressive developer.
The Mac maker has hired Ivan Krstic who was previously the security architect for the One Laptop Per Child project.
He was the creator of the Bitfrost security specification used by OLPC for the security of the device.
It managed passwords, hard drive encryption, machine authentication, security updates, and prevention of data loss on the OLPC XO Laptops.
Krstic spoke about his new appointment:
But perhaps most importantly, I have — at long last — found my new adventure. After a great deal of deliberation, I moved to California and joined the local fruit vendor.
