Hewlett-Packard announces a major recall of laptop batteries
Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced that HP is voluntarily recalling 70,000 lithium-ion batteries that were shipped with some of their laptop models in the recent years.
HP revealed that the recalled laptops are from:
Nine models of HP Pavilion
Nine models of Compaq Presario
Two models of HP
One model of HP Compaq
These notebooks were sold in the market between August 2007 and March 2008.
HP is now instructing the owners of their laptops to check their batteries if they are covered in this recall program.
