Western Digital launches a 2TB hard drive
Western Digital has announced the launch of a new 2TB hard drive.
This new disk is part of the company’s cool-running, low-power WD AV-GP range.
WD said that they are targeting this new product at consumer electronics and security surveillance markets.
This 2TB model is being offered at a price of USD 299.
WD said that the drive comes loaded with their GreenPower Technology which reduces the power consumption by up to 40% depending upon the usage.
The company further claims that the drive is very silent so it is perfect for use with DVRs and media centres.
