Intel showcases next Atom processor
Intel has now displayed their next generation Intel Atom processor.
The company also announced the first beta of the Moblin 2.0 Linux platform for mobile devices.
The new version of Intel Atom has been codenamed Pine Trail. The company has managed to shrink the number of chips required to develop an Atom powered device.
The company said that this would enable the manufacturers to develop products with smaller size and better battery backup.
Intel Moblin 2.0 beta was also revealed. It is a Linux based platform for mobile devices and netbooks.
