Google Maps Ad Unit launched
Google has announced the launch of their Google Maps Ad Unit.
This new advertising service would enable developers to make money from the mashups created using Google Maps service through Google Maps API.
This new service is an opt-in setting and it overlays advertisements powered by Google AdSense over embedded maps on a web page.
The ads are targeted as per the view on the map and updates as the user moves around from one location to another.
This is a brand new way for Google to generate revenues from yet another service that is provided for free to web users.
