Yahoo considering acquiring social media properties!
Yahoo might be struggling to compete against Google and Microsoft but they are still looking for good deals in the market.
Yahoo CTO Ari Balogh said in a statement at the Reuters Global Technology Summit: “It’s a good time to be buying now.”
He added: “I can guarantee you there will be some acquisitions, and we will do some stuff in-house.”
Yahoo has already admitted that Google is the current king of the search engine market. But the battle is still on and they are not giving up.
Balogh said: “The thing I will tell you is that, core to great experiences for people online may not necessarily be this version of search. I believe search is going to be far richer … there’s a whole other round or two to go in the search game and that’s where we intend on playing.”
The question is… Can Yahoo survive for long enough to become relevant once again?
