Sony Ericsson aims to launch Google Android 2.0 based smartphones
Sony Ericsson has yet to launch any smartphone that is powered by the Google Android mobile platform.
Market sources now claim that the company is preparing for the Android 2.0 edition to launch their first Android smartphone.
Sony apparently is waiting for the next version as it is likely to be friendlier with multimedia functionalities.
For now, they aim to work on devices powered by Symbian and Windows Mobile to some extent.
Sony Ericsson is already a member of the Open Handset Alliance. But they are also a partner in the Symbian Foundation.
