TechCrunch closing in on version 1 of CrunchPad
TechCrunch has posted an update on their CrunchPad product.
They have released some new photos of the latest prototype and it does look rather cool.
CrunchPad is designed to work as a touch screen tablet PC designed for web surfing and other routine activities.
TechCrunch said that they are closing in on getting a working prototype in the coming days.
It is likely to be powered with an Intel Atom processor. Should come with at least 2 USB ports in addition to a webcam and microphone.
They are aiming to load it with a customized Linux distribution. User interface would be powered with a customized WebKit based web browser.
