Apple iPhone 3G S announced: It’s all about Speed

Apple has announced the latest version of their iPhone smartphone.

They have named this version Apple iPhone 3G S.

S stands for speed as Apple claims that this version is faster than ever before.

Apple iPhone 3G S offers faster processing in addition HSDPA support. Apple has also increased to storage options. It would be available in 16GB and 32GB capacities.

It comes powered with a processor running at 600MHz. System memory has been doubled to 256MB.

Apple has also updated the camera on this device to 3 megapixel. It now features support for technologies like auto-focus. Apple iPhone 3G S can shoot videos at 30FPS.

This latest version of the iPhone would go on sale next month in the US market. Price points remain the same: USD 199 and 299 for the 16GB and 32GB versions respectively.

Apple claims that this new model features improved battery backup. It still does not feature a removable battery like both the previous models.

Apple is bringing MMS support on the iPhone finally. AT&T would take some time before offering it in the US market.

Apple would continue to offer iPhone 3G in some markets. Only the 8GB model would be sold. Price tag in USA? USD 99!
