Hewlett-Packard dominates Indian market
Hewlett-Packard is the leading personal computer maker in the world. And they continue to dominate the Indian market as well.
IDC has reported that Hewlett-Packard now has an 18% share in the Indian market.
This is for the period between January-March this year.
HCL Infosystems comes at the second spot with a 10% market share.
Dell continues to struggle at the third spot with a disappointing 9.7% market share.
Acer is at the fourth spot with 7.3% market share. Lenovo also struggled. They now have a 4.7% share in the Indian PC market.
IDC India country manager Kapil Dev Singh spoke about their opinion about the Indian market: “Moving forward, hardware in general, and PC shipments in particular, will continue to remain under pressure. Winners would gain market share and improve profitability through the right price/volume mix and optimal exploitation of supply chain efficiencies.”
