Apple iPhone 3G S in India
Apple recently launched the latest version of iPhone in the US market.
Apple iPhone 3G S goes on sale in US and some other markets next week.
The company is now scheduled to bring this phone to the Indian market in August this year.
So, in around two months time Airtel and Vodafone would be able to sell the iPhone 3G S in the Indian market.
Apple iPhone has largely been a disappointment in the Indian market.
The official price of the iPhone 3G for Indian customers is pretty high. It ranges between Rs. 30-35000.
Apple lowered the price of the older generation iPhone 3G to just USD 99 for the 8GB model.
Airtel and Vodafone in India are yet to offer any price cut on the same model for Indian customers.
Knowing Apple, we are unlikely to see a major cut in the prices of the iPhone in India in August as well.
They might offer the 8GB iPhone 3G for around Rs. 25-30000 while selling the new models at a price point above Rs. 35000.
